MyVegas rewards

Booked Canadian. Boy are they all over the map on stuff. Sure hope I am successful like others. Here I am wishing I could apply for both of us in the room with our rewards that have yet to be used for anything, and we may be lucky to get one applied.

Stay tuned.

Has anyone successfully had the MyVegas OBC applied to a cruise bought from the "paid membership big box store that has a great deal on hot dogs"?

I redeemed my voucher, and emailed in my request with all the requested info 4 days ago and received their auto-reply confirmation, but have yet to hear anything back. I'm near day 29 from my booking date so am a bit anxious for ClubRoyale to get back to me.

Thanks for any insights.

cheers,

Was curious if anyone would be able to answer, was hoping. Seems like you are waiting a long time on this, 4 days for 'live' response seems long to me anyway. Also, your success if booked through the hot dog vendor TA is of particular interest, not who I booked through but still a TA. Anxiously waiting ...

Same for me. Booked through a TA so I would love to know if it can be applied. Also we both have myVEGAS accounts but the terms say one per room. However, I’ve seen multiple postings saying they have had success with getting both applied to the same room.

Thx for the reply & support, poffles! I'll answer my own question for future lurkers...

So even tho the auto-reply email says not to bother them again, I did. It said 48hrs response but after 5 days, with my 30 day window closing tmrw, I wanted to find out so I phoned them. After 56 minutes on hold  I was told it's a no-go as this TA booking is classified as a group booking (even tho I booked just as an individual cruiser).

Of course, I phoned big box so I would know for the future: my cruise is a group booking, but not all RCI sailings that they book have a "group" on them. So using this TA could still get mV OBCs. YMMV. :')

cheers,

:)

Well that just sucks. I suspect mine is going to have the same ending. What will be most aggravating is that this was the first time I booked with a TA in about 6 years and only did so as it was a friend and got $50 OBC. Ironic if I lose lose lose on this one. Uggh.

You can check with your warehouse TA first to find out if it's a group booking. Whether it is or not, you can still try to redeem your reward as if it doesn't go through, you can easily cancel the reward online and get your mV points back. So only a bit of time lost and all upside otherwise.

And as much as I'd like to have free 100 bucks to spend, the incentives I received from warehouse TA were significantly worth more than $100 so I'm okay with the outcome. (Plus, I repriced with the current 30% off sale just to see and my price was lower by a couple of hundred compared to RC's website.) ;)

Good luck with yours!

:)

Thank you ..I spoke to TA and she said not sure if would call it a 'group' booking but it is considered that since blocks of rooms. For me the 100 is definitely better than the 50 I got but not sure what hassle this might end up being. Wish they didn't take so long to action the reward. When you called about reward, had they already actioned your reward voucher email and denied and just hadn't replied yet, or did they do the checking while you were on the call?

They said they sent email reply but I didn't get it yet. Then phone rep confirmed denial. I think it just happened at the same time as I was on the phone for a long time and did not check my email. When I got off the phone, the time stamp on my email was about when I started the call.

As for the warehouse TA, I used the chat feature after it said my hold time was 30+ minutes. When I asked the agent to reconfirm that it was a group booking, he actually gave me the name of the group booking so a chat agent should be able to look it up for you.

:)

Got reward response, could not apply due to group booking. Mine is not the same 'warehouse' TA you went through but it would seem to be a common practice to provide perks. So mad at myself to have gone through TA ... and for $50 ... ugh. And for first time ever I did nonrefundable deposit.

Perfect storm.

So, my TA removed me as a 'group' booking, lost the small bonus from the agency but now one 100 reward was successfully added. Even if that is all I get we are still ahead. OH and another bonus is I noticed current RCL 'sale' offering small OBC which wasn't offered when I booked, and cruise cost is the same so TA changed that for me too so win win. Feel much better now with how things have transpired. Thanks to the tip about group booking I would never have known and this made me somewhat be ready for it if it happened.

Thanks all!

My wife and I recently booked a RC cruise. Before booking we called RC and asked to talk to the MyVegas director. He told us that because my wife and I had separate accounts, we could each purchase the 5% discount and also each purchase the $100 OBC. So we booked with TA. Well when the dust settled, RC would only give us each the $100 OBC. Unfortunatly I did not get the name of the RC myVegas guy that said we could use all four discounts. We ended up selling our 5% discounts back to MyVegas. It was a lot of hassle but at least we got the OBC's.

On another note, we finished our second free Carnival Pride cruise thru My Vegas last week. It was very fun and relaxing. On both of the free Carnival cruises, we had to pay gratuities and port fees. Around 225.00 for each of us per cruise. I hope this helps.

Just discovered this and started playing MyVegas today! But now it seems like MCS is the only cruise line available? Or do they rotate different cruise lines throughout the year? Really hoping so..

Often Royal Caribbean vanish for the summer. Also Carnival only appear when they have cruises to give away, again autumn/winter. Of course there is no guarantee that either will reappear at all

The Royal Caribbean offers are available again and I managed to get a $100 OBC. This being the 1st time I am not quite clear as we whether I book with casino royale or I book with a vacation planner & email casino royale. The email I received is quite vague other than providing our names & coordinates via email to casino royale.

Looking for any guidance from anyone who recently redeemed their voucher :)

Anyone have their telephone number by any chance.

I booked myself online through the R C website. Then I emailed casino royal the voucher and my reservation #. I was actually able to apply one for myself and one for my spouse for a total of $200[emoji16]

Wow Thanks for the quick response :)

Did they confirm via email? Do you see it on your booking now?
