Wedding Dress worn the whole day??

My wedding will be off the ship in St. Thomas. After we get back on the boat the wedding events will continue. Did past brides stay in their wedding dress all day? Did your bridal party stay in their dresses?

I'm planning on keeping my dress on all day. It has a long train but I've had bustles put in and it's easier to get around in it that way.

I purchased a convertible dress. It has a ballgown skirt that comes off and I then have a cocktail dress!
