Pre/Post Viking river cruise trips

This is my first post so I apologize if I'm in the wrong place. I will be going on a Viking river cruise in June 2019 and plan to extend my trip before the cruise in Amsterdam and after the cruise in Basel. I'm looking for recommendations for hotels and tour guides and any suggestions about what to see.
