I got all of mine except for 1 only because they take the card back :(

MSC would not let me keep the cards. Sail 3 times no cards. Upset me!! 5 other cruise lines, have all of them...:)

Knowing that they take the card back

what you do is...you 'lose' your card.

Then you go to Guest Services and get a replacement. It happens all the time

folks lose their cards.

Most ship cards in my collection from UK lines

are acquired that way.

I'm interested in displaying our cruise cards. (we only collect our own).

Has anyone made any wall displays or other interesting ways to display cruise cards?

If so, I'd like to see some pictures.

thanks

Not that this is any help to you but

I keep my collection of cruise cards

in plastic sleeves, ten to a page - in a 3-ring binder.

I take it on board with me to Wow the crew, and it does.

If you want to do a wall display

maybe you could laminate your choice of cards as a grouping

and then frame the laminate?

I've sailed on over 90 cruises on a number of different cruise lines and I have every card from those cruises.

My late DH sailed all those cruises with me (but for one since his passing I sailed last summer) and I have all of his card. :) I was looking through them just the other day.

Pleasant memories, every one of them!

If you ever come across any duplicates, for whatever reason

please consider donating any spare cards to my collection.

Email me at: dh-jennie@outlook.com

Folks like you come up with cards I've never seen before!

Often the punched hole on the cards

shows where a lanyard was attached so the cruiser

could wear the card around their neck.

That would be the small circular hole down in the bottom right corner..

I thought about watching this sports card display frame or something similar. If it could be hung with the cards horizontal it would probably work.

We have all but one of the key cards we have used while on board our cruises. The one we would like to get I have a feeling will be near impossible. Our very first cruise on board the Norwegian Cruise Lines, SS Norway. In 2000 they were using a plastic key card with holes in them that you turned into the desk on your way off the ship. By 2003 when we cruised on that ship once again, they were using the electronic strip cards you kept at the end of the cruise. We have that one, but I sure would like to get my hands on one of the first cards we had for our collection.

Anyone out there remember those cards? Anyone out there have one?

We always keep them. My husband created album which describes all our cruises. It is basic information. Itinerary, cards, one Daily (or whatever cruise line calls them), tickets and brochures from excursions, some photos.

It is nice to read them from time to time and helps us if we need to find information.

I have a key card with holes. About 1 3/4 X 4"

No ship name but says VingCard near center. I was on the Norway in 1998. Trade?

I don't have anything to trade, unfortunately. But, I am looking to buy cruise cards from two ships that I no longer have cards for: Imperial Majesty Cruise Lines (Regal Empress, although I think the card just had the Imperial Majesty logo on it) and Carnival's Inspiration.

Please reach out if anyone has extras or are willing to sell: vilmos@tampabay.rr.com

Many thanks!

Dear friends,

I've send you a contact/friendship requests, so we can swap our contacts and trade cards.

I'm in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), publish my own postcards (I did publish the QE2, QM2, Costa Victoria, Costa Favolosa, MSC Armonia, MSC Preziosa, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Magnifica, Celebrity Infinity, Pullmantur R5 Blue Dream, Pullmantur Sovereign, Seabourn Quest, Silver Muse, Funchal and MS Kayamã river cruise) and have a friend who publish cruise ships, ferries and liners cards, too!

Best regards,

Daniel
