Cruising with little ones

We cruised back in January with a 4yo and a 1yo. We had an upper and crib. 4yo fell from upper and has to contact medical. Yes, we had pillows all along the rails and some how she still slipped thru. Now we are wanting to cruise again. They will be 5 and 2 this time. Can we just get cots for them or a crib and carry a portable cot with us? Any good suggestions???

You could always put the mattress on the floor.

The family bed worked for us when we had kids that young.

There are travel bed rails out there. Consider packing those if your only choice is a cabin with a pullmen.

OR look for cabin configurations that use a sofa bed and trundle system.
