I know it says to submit 3 weeks out for the OBC, but how long does it actually take? I was lazy and put it off and we leave in just over a week. Hoping to get it, but if not, I know it’s my fault. I was just wondering how long it usually takes. Been a couple yrs since last time and I don’t remember.

We do it as soon as we book the cruise unless its later than April the next year. Carnival reserves the rights to revoke this privilege and they vote every April. If you have a cruise in May you have to wait till April to apply or they will reject it and tell you to wait and see if carnival renews it. They always do its more of a technicality. We have done it as far as 10 months in advance and as little as 2 weeks. It only takes them about 2 to 3 days to apply it if you email them the info.

I submitted mine via email for my last sailing. Received the OBC within two days however I was not up against the timeframe you are.

I've submitted a week out. But I also had booked the cruise that day. Normally, I try to do it a few weeks out. Which reminds me, I need to submit one for my August cruise.

Can someone share the email address to submit proof? I am not able to locate this on carnival website.

thank you.

This is because email is not the 'official' way to submit a request.

Fax or snail mail.

If you have no fax machine, a service like http://faxzero.com (free) works well for a lot of folks.

That may be true, but I've had no problem emailing my pdf file & having them respond that it's been received. Just easier for me to email.

  • 3 weeks later...

Just as a FYI. I submitted my request 10 days before my cruise and received confirmation 6 days before. Can’t say this will always happen, but good to know if you procrastinate, you can still get it.
