TrapperZimmy Posted January 9, 2018 #26 Share Posted January 9, 2018 Yes, a broken arm. Did we also meet for lunch in Bergen?
TrapperZimmy Posted January 9, 2018 #27 Share Posted January 9, 2018 After a bit of rock and roll after dinner last night, we arrived to calm seas and clear skies in Île-de-Saintes. One of our favorite ports. Tres Francais. Dinner last night with Club Director Matt. A really great guy. Very lively conversation at the table, plus delicious veal saltimboca. Somebody had to show us where the dining room is, though. Have enjoyed meeting other CCers. If there are any we haven’t met, make yourselves known. Tiki_Man Posted January 10, 2018 #28 Share Posted January 10, 2018 Trap, sounds like you are having a great time. Give a write up about Iles later please (we will be there in 2 months). Calm seas are always good especially for dinner on deck. Cheers and keep the reports coming Tiki
TrapperZimmy Posted January 13, 2018 #29 Share Posted January 13, 2018 Disembarked this morning in Barbados. The cruise terminal was an absolute madhouse. NCL, P&O and Carnival bigguns in the harbor, as well as Oceania’s Insignia, a Windstar sailship, and another clipper I was not familiar with. Had to wait on board for a minibus to come and get us. We taxied to the Hilton, but it was “how many people can we get in this van before we leave?” On the upside, the room we had reserved was not ready (it was only 11:00 so I wasn’t really surprised) but if we were willing to take two doubles instead of a king, they could upgrade us and move us in right away. Gave that about a nanosecond of thought and we were promptly at the pool. Dinner tonight is Lobster Alive, were they are flown in daily from Bequia. We could have brought our own. Good pizza, John and Mindy? Aside from the less than ideal weather, it really was a fantastic 9-day cruise. Met (and re-met) very nice people and already have buddies for next year’s Cuba cruise.
