Oh my...you didn't give me the option of generally 0 per day at home to an average of 3 a day on a cruise. CHEERS doesn't work for me!

This our situation as well. We do occasionally drink wine or when we go out to dinner order a cocktail. On a cruise we probably drink 2-4 drinks a day. Still not too much.

I suppose I should answer this myself! :D:DI absolutely drink more on a cruise and buy Cheers just for that reason.

I live in California and have a glass of good wine with dinner 3-4x a week. Friday and Saturday evenings, I may have two.

On a cruise, I'm a coffee with a shot of vanilla vodka in the morning, beer at lunch, couple mojitos or vodka tonics by the pool, couple glasses of wine with dinner and a martini or two at night. Total - 8'ish? Oddly, I never feel totally drunk, just content and knowing that I'm sooooo on vacation.

Of course it does. How many depends on the day. I prefer to be sober on a shore excursion and drink only after we're back on board. On a sea day I wouldn't survive without being half in the bag so drink early and often.

I drink more on vacation, period, than I do in regular life. In regular life I'll have a glass of wine in the evening. On a cruise - especially on a sea day - I'll have a bloody Mary with breakfast, a beer with lunch, a cocktail in the afternoon....

I usually have one or two drinks every six months. While on a cruise, I might have one or two max a day. I've never had more than two alcoholic drinks in one day on a cruise. I get a headache with too much alcohol and that's not a good feeling for me. I really like trying new drinks and have my favorites, but I know my limits.

A corollary question is do you drink more when you have a free included beverage package than when you have no package?

Without a package I only have a couple of glasses of wine with dinner; but with a package, I have that plus at least 3 more drinks per day.

I admit I am a food and drink snob;p when I am on vacation I drink less, but in saying that I don't drink much when I am at home. I know a lot of people who drink a bottle of wine a night. It takes me a week to finish a bottle:'). Getting drunk or even buzzing has no appeal to me at all:cool:

I am a quality over quantity person. The products I buy are usually of the higher price range and I generally drink straight up spirits. These brands are usually double the price in tourist places and never included in drink packages if even sold on ships at all and I generally do not enjoy cocktails as I usually find them too sickly sweet.

I will sometimes have a glass of wine or beer as with these products price or brand have little effect on taste but since both drinks aren't a favourite I am happy to not have them at all;).

However when I travel to a new country I love to try the local beverage of choice or a unique drink they make in that community:D

Absolutely! On my last 2 cruises with NCL, I had the drink pkg. My liver was happy when we got home so it could take a little break!

Thank you ... I was needing THIS option also. Three drinks in a day would be the limit for me. That's a lot in one day ... for me.

At home, I probably have 6 or 8 drinks a year, mostly because I won't drink and drive and I don't want to spend lots on cabs. On a cruise, where I don't have to drive or take a cab home, I probably have 1-2 (alcoholic) drinks a day, very occasionally 3. So......yes I drink more on cruises, but not as much as your poll options.

I only drink 1-2 drinks (usually on the weekends), as I am busy in the evenings carpooling to kids' sports and activities.

When I've cruised with girlfriends (no kids) - yes, definitely drink more than I do at home - but most of our cruises are during spring break (with our kids) and chugging drinks and being drunk in front of our kids isn't the look we're going for.

I may still have a beer by the pool and maybe a glass of wine sometimes at dinner, but never even buy the drink package when we're cruising with our kids.
