I'm not aware of any cruise ships that start / stop in Hawaii. Maybe you can join a ship there and do a segment of a cruise?? Best thing would be is to talk to a travel agent.

I am not aware of cruises roundtrip from Hawaii to the South Pacific.

Once or twice per year Princess has a 28 day roundtrip LA cruise to Hawaii & the South Pacific. With only requiring a flight to LA, or for SoCal residents to only drive to the port, these cruises are very popular & thus can be more expensive. That also applies to other roundtrip LA cruises to Alaska & the Panama Canal...more demand equals higher prices.

There are only a few cruises that start in HNL that go to French Polynesia. They consist of a couple luxury liners that start in HNL and end in Tahiti.

There are also a couple RCL & Celebrity that start in HNL and end in Sydney, Aus.

As others mentioned, to get to both Hawaii & French Polynesia, it's usually longer cruises (28 days +) that consist of following:

* RT from California

* RT from Australia

* One way California to NZ or Aus, or vice versa

* World Cruise (various starting ports, but not HNL)

dina8ken We are taking a Celebrity Solstice Cruise that begins in Vancouver BC on its first segment that cruises to Hawaii in later Sept. The itinerary circled the Islands with an overnight in Maui. It ends In Honolulu. The second segment visits Polynesia and then continues on to Auckland and a couple of other places in New Zealand and ends in Sydney Australia. From Vancouver to Sydney it is a total of 28 days. We are flying home via Honolulu where we will stay a couple of days to break up the long flight home. We are fortunate in that we were able to book the same stateroom for both segments of this cruise.
