Is 12:55 PM flight out of LAX too early for a cruise docking in Long Beach on Sat?

Recommended Posts

I have never sailed out of Long Beach, CA so I don't have a clue.................would a 12:55 PM flight out of LAX be too early for a cruise docking in Long Beach on a Saturday in mid-December? I'm thinking that would be plenty of time, but wanted to ask someone who knows the situation there. Also, does anyone know the cut-off time for flights to use the cruise line shuttle from Long Beach pier to LAX (Carnival)?

Hi,

We cruise out of Long Beach at least once a year.

You should have no trouble making a 12:55 flight!

We get off the ship early by about 8AM but even if you are off later you can be at the airport by 11 easily!! There are taxis/shuttles and Uber/Lyft cars that will be available to take you to LAX and it shouldn't be more than an hour's drive(at most) I would not wait for the Carnival bus! I'd want to be off the ship and in a vehicle to the airport on my own time and not on Carnival's time.

We booked the 12:55 flight for our January cruise. It was definitely the best time for getting back to the east coast. I had asked our Carnival PVP if that time would be okay and she said yes.
