Serenade of the Seas Room 7640

Do not book Room 7640 on Serenade of the Seas. It's directly above the piano in the Schooner Bar. The sound level of the music in that room is unbelieveable - must be a problem with the sound proofing! It's almost as loud as in the Schooner Bar. Music is played every night from 10:30-12:30. If you plan on sleeping earlier than 12:30, pick another room. Personnel at the Front Desk were very unsympathetic. They said they would make a note, and the problem would be taken care of when Serenage goes in for refurbishing. We won't be sailing with Royal Caribbean again.

But does a deck plan tell you that your room will be noisy due to the piano beneath? I'm new to this and am not sure if the deck plans will mean much to me in those regards?!

Ā

Try to book your room on a floor that only has other staterooms above and below you. We also learned that elevators and cleaning stations beside the rooms can be noisy.
