Is St.Maarten ready for tourist ?

Recommended Posts

When we were there MOST of the shops were open. It was Christmas Day, however, so they could have been closed because of that. Generally the gov't requires them to close on Christmas Day, but because of the recovery effort, they made an exception this year. The town looked good - pretty much back to normal, but there is still some signs of destruction if you look hard enough. And if you leave the town to go to one of the beaches away from town, you don't have to look very hard at all to see it.

But - to answer your question: Yes, they are definitely ready for tourists - especially cruise tourists who do not need a hotel to stay at over night.
