The cruise port is in downtown Charleston. There are hotels as close as a few minutes walk from the port, but parking downtown is limited and you aren't likely to find a place that lets you park your car free for the week there. Check hotels just over the Ravenel Bridge from dowtown in Mt. Pleasant...lots of hotels right at the base of the bridge on the Mt. Pleasant side. From there you are maybe 10-20 min to the port by Uber, depending on time of day and traffic

I definitely wouldn't pay that. The MainStay Suite we stay at, you can get a suite on Hotels.com which is 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a den. It has 2 queen beds and 2 double sofa beds. They also include breakfast. You can keep your car there for the week as well. The cost for that is $109 on Hotels.com. An Uber will run you a little under $20 for an UberXL (a larger SUV that will fit 4 people + luggage) so you'd be looking at $129 total including transportation.
