We did this tour last February and had an excellent time. Personable & knowledgeable guide, great food tastings (you will not leave hungry!!) and a great walk around town. Was a really good day and we would highly recommend. Even got our taste of Key Lime pie.

Here a quick do it yourself food tour (Lunchtime),

1) Con Leche - Five Brothers on Southard

2) Cuban Sandwich - either El Siboney or Margaret/Catherine or Sandy's on White St.

3) Conch Fritters - DJs Clam Shack on Duval

4) Key Lime Pie - Blue Heaven on Petronia

5) After dinner, Margarita's or Beer, just choose a bar on Duval

  • Thanks 1

Thanks for the suggestions. Have you been to the distillery? Blue Heaven and El Siboney are included in the tour. I will look up the others you suggest.

We are unlikely to wander around eating and drinking on our own - we have our favorites, where we would just sit and eat and drink, but sometimes the group experience and some local knowledge are a change.

You can walk over to the new rum distillery at 201 Simonton Street...

They do rum tastings (the dark is very nice on the rocks) and have a great gift shop. I was lucky enough to be invited to the ribbon cutting (by John Hemingway)

Thanks, that certainly sounds like something we would enjoy.

This is different to Key West Distilling, on Southard street?
