Offers received from Club Royale (Royal Caribbean)

Lately I’ve noticed that a host was bumping up certificates based on loss. He told me a cert would equal 30% of loss. So if I lost $1,500, even though I may only have 1,000 points, I’d get an $500 certificate.

I can confirm that. I was at only 3200 points but got a balcony state room certificate. Good news is that the casino thought I lost more money than I actually did

Does anyone know - If you book an offer with Club Royale, can you transfer the booking to your travel agent?

I've done it, but only with $ off, where I still had a pretty good balance. Your TA wouldn't take a booking with a free cruise from the casino. They wouldn't get any commission.

Question — what happens if one uses a casino certificate to book a cruise and then one person in cabin can’t go ?  Anyone have any experience?

IF you are outside the 90 days. You can get a refund for the cancelled booking mate. You could add another party too. Well that is what I was told.

It depends on the type of certificate - if it is for a comp stateroom and you are using one certificate for 2 people and the second person cannot go the taxes and port fees for the second person will be refunded. The person who received the certificate must be taking the cruise. If it is a discount on the stateroom that will be different as the one person in a stateroom pricing will change.

In regard to using a discount,  I had this situation.  I booked a cruise using a $off amount.  At the last minute my daughter could not go.  The certificate was in my name.  In order to avoid having the cruise repriced because I had a good rate,  she was simply  a no show.  I did get a refund on taxes and fees but not the cruise fair.  It was cheaper doing it this way than paying the single supplement.

Question — Did you get double points for being a solo?

Does anyone know if there is a special number to call when you are signature?  Last time I called the main number, I was on hold for 40 minutes.

Signature members were supposed to have a designated assigned rep - with a phone number different than main CR number.

I suggest u call CR and ask for a supervisor and then to be given your designated rep’s info.

I called earlier and was told not everyone got a designated rep, and there was none listed for me.

No, I didn't ask for a supervisor.  I will next time I call.

Gayle, I actually asked CR about this 2 days before your post. The CR rep I spoke with didn't know anything about it. I let it drop as "business as usual". I stayed quiet here as I thought I might see a real answer.

I am only prime but was able to get a rep to work with. Got their name from a master level player and emailed them. You should absolutely be able to get a rep assigned  to you Gayle.

Heads up,  they have new onboard Certificates out, and they have added a new level for Junior Suites (8000 points). Signature event onboard the Oasis was great, real glad that I was able to make it.  Will try to get a little review of what all they did.  They had a lot of players onboard.
