Hello. Can anyone help me?

We are sailing on our first Caribbean cruise in April and want to visit as many beaches as possible ( we want a relaxing break) does anyone have any information on the best beaches near the cruise port? are we able to walk to them? how much in a taxi?

Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas

St Croix

St Johns, Antigua

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis

Phillipsburg, St Maarten - We would like to visit Maho beach, is it worth it? how do you get there?

Thank you in advance.

You will probably get more responses posting under the specific port forums under ports of call. There is more activity there than this forum. You can also use the search feature in those forums to find information on beaches and excursions.

The only beach we've walked to from the port is Carlisle Bay in Barbados.

St Maarten - You can walk to the beach you can see from the ship in St Maarten.

Maho is a beach experience everyone should do once. We won't go there a second time though. Don't think it's walkable, at least not comfortably.

We always go back to Orient. Haven't been there since the hurricane but heard it's being rebuilt so should be worth visiting again. There's a big taxi area at the port where you can find a taxi to share.

Last time in Antigua we went to Dickenson Bay and really liked it. Calm water and great sand. Not close to the port.
