Myanmar River Cruising

Hi, we are thinking of doing a Myanmar River Cruise in December with Pandaw. The Cruise starts from Pyay. Two questions if I may:-

1. Are there airlines flying to Pyay? If not, how do I get there?

2. Does anyone know if Pandaw provide any transportation to their Ship?

Not sure if the Asia Forum is the right place, I have also put this under the River Cruising Forum, Apology for the double submission.....!

I do not have the direct answers to your questions. I suggest you ask your travel agent or the cruise company.

I have done twice a river cruise in Myanmar. The company I have used is called Belmond. I took a flight from Bangkok to Yangoon and from there Belmond organize everything: transfers, hotel, flights to the river port. Everything was excellent. Maybe your cruise company does the same. I would not try to do it on my own in Myanmar.

You are welcome. It is not an easy destination to research so I was very grateful of the help I have received and also like to help others interested in those more unusual destinations accordingly.
