Got a email from Princess Players Club with ridiculous low rates.

They must really like you! I had the same experience with different prices on different screens but it the price toggled between $299 and $899. I held my breath until I got the confirmation #. First time booking myself. We usually go through a TA and get discounts and OBC but with this low fare I don't think there would be much she could do for us.

The airlines (at least United) in the Washington DC area were doing great fares to match the Southwest sale. Was able to find air for $49 each way.

Unfortunately, DTW (Detroit) is a major Delta hub with minimal service from Southwest and I don't think any from United, but a lot of international flights both to Europe and the Far East.

I was looking for cruise options for our holidays booked for the week of Nov 25th as we cancelled our previous Norwegian Escape cruise that was just too pricey and took the chance on a deal. Read this discussion the other night and thought I'd check and see if I could see the deals. Luckily I locked in an inside cabin for $58.80 per person for the 5 day western on the Royal, then got playing round and discovered an obstructed balcony on deck 8 was the same price and nabbed it for $345.60 CDN total for 2. Unreal!!! I logged in under my brother in laws profile who has cruised only once and the price was definitely more.

Today, I got an email upgrade to a complimentary upgrade to a balcony and we never play in the casino. We're happy but once on board will definitely keep this deal to ourselves! Very happy to getaway so cheap!!!

They added more cruises with low fares. Just search for Caribbean cruises for November and December. Many of the results had low fares including the 12/20 10 day Christmas sailing on the Royal. Minisuites are $799 (although when doing a mock booking you'll see $1799 fares pop up before getting back to the advertised fare of $799) and insides are $399. I've seen sales before but never over the holidays.

I just found out our cabin assignment for our December cruise on the Royal. I booked and paid for it on Friday. We received a slight upgrade from our guarantee Cat. BF to a Cat. BB on the Aloha Deck. It looks like a great location, near the back of the ship.

We booked MF guarantee on Monday and today got our cabin assignment which was MB. And we aren't under a public deck so I am happy!

Thank you everyone for this thread!!!! Was reading this thread and I rarely gamble so never see casino rates. decided to look anyway. I now have an inside on Royal Dec 10 for 7 days for $118.80 CDN. (99.00 US) per person. Taxes are 139 CDN. Held the cabin last night. Checked again this afternoon and rates were up so I paid for the room I had held. Have flight down but no return yet.

If anyone is thinking of cancelling and re-booking to take advantage of the sale prices; in addition to loosing your deposit you will loose your trip insurance (ie: the insurance is not transferable to the new booking).

We just booked the crown, Nov. 13-18 for unbelievable rate, airfare from BWI was more than the cruise. But thanks to Rapid Rewards points, we can do it. This was too good to pass up. Balcony for 99.00 five nights pp. Ended up on Rivera deck.
