I used to hate photographers always wanting to take our picture:(. But now with the Princess photo package for $200 I get any and all pictures they take of us, plus a thumb drive with them on there as well. So now I jump in front of every photographer I see:D. (Warning, if you wait to sign up for it on board, it will cost $250.)

Hmmm? I don't know where some of those numbers are coming from:confused:. I do know that on the 21 day cruise we were on, the price never came down, but I was glad that we had signed up. (even though by the end my wife was tired of having her picture taken so we sort of stopped) I think we had upwards of a hundred pictures that would have been $25 each if we had bought them individually. Anyhow, we had fun giving them out as Christmas presents to all the grandkids:D. Plus I copied the thumb drive onto other thumb drives for them so they all have all the pictures if they want them. But if you only want one or two pictures to remember the cruise, then this would not be a good deal for you.

Our tablemates had the package on our CB cruise this summer. They enjoyed being able to get all their photos. On one of the nights when the roving photographers were in the dining room, we switched up who was with whom. DH posed with one of them. She got that one too. We generally don't pose for the photos other than the embarkation one.

Okay, I've just got to ask . . . I've noticed you on lots of threads recently with posts that seem to say nothing at all (random, non-contributory to the question or topic), then followed by your "dilly dilly". What gives? I can't be the only one wondering. We all post random things sometimes, but you do know your posts are weird and unhelpful, right?:o

Some folks are different. They live in a fantasy world of TV commercials and unless you watch them, all else seems strange.

Atmosphere. If you go to a Starbucks where there is always a guy sitting near the door with a two-foot tall Cat-in-the-Hat hat, do they make your coffee taste better? Not objectively.

I am glad you are enjoying this package deal.

We're tend more to think of having one photo to remember the cruise, and more often than not it is taken by a fellow passenger using our camera.

And yet, we do sometimes offer helpful and/or relevant comments, and you know it Florida...

It's not a fantasy world per say, just the fun one when we cruise. My husband enjoys, if I am in the casino, going to the bar, pointing me out to a cocktail server, and saying "I'd like to buy the Countess a drink". Our "home" world is one of very responsible high level jobs, so when we are on cruise critic and on a cruise, we do take the time to relax, unwind, and maybe not entirely be our "adult" stodgy selves. If you don't like it, so sorry, but I do think that it beats being a super cynical personality when on the boards, which as observed by many, have turned into a complaint and venting outlet...

Then there are others that post almost 6,000 times in two years just to make themselves heard..

Thank you Kenswing!!

aww rotti lover. My not contributing to a thread thats really needs no contribution or cross examination from me, has you wondering. I am a man with a sense of humor, so in the case of my "Dilly ... Dilly" response it means , I agree, I like it, good form..... so if "Dilly ... Dilly annoys you then I'll assume the long cold New England winters have taken a toll on your sense of humor. In any case as for the "Dilly ... Dilly" I have chosen it for my saying on my next cruise and will use it in place of saying get the hell outta the buffet line or get you phat arse off the elevator and when a couple walks into the dinning room wearing jeans and polo shirts on formal night I will raise my glass to them and exclaim DILLI ...DILLY !

I think these photo packages are fantastic and have had great success with them on Celebrity. I haven't tried it yet on princess.

How long was the cruise you are referring to, where you got the package for $200?

Do you know that they are going to offer than again this year? Got it last year and were very happy about it, but I figured it might be a one-time deal to introduce the new photo packages.

Personally, I wouldn't dilly dilly look it up for all its meanings in the Urban Dictionary.

No, I have a good sense of humor, un-blunted by the cold New England winters. I found the dilly dilly mildly amusing the first two times I saw it (I of course have seen the bud light commercials), however it has become increasingly less amusing seeing it on a umber of threads, preceded by nothing of much substance or in some cases not even understanding exactly what is referencing (positive or negative). Just making an observation from my own little corner of the world. So, dilly dilly on if you must.

In regards to the topic of this thread, on our 13 day B2B in March this year, we were able to get the all inclusive photo package for $99, which I thought was a great deal. The package for our upcoming 15 day Hawaii sailing in February is still listed at $199. I'm watching to see if it comes down and deciding if I will purchase it at $199 if it does not.

Doreen thank you for the kind reply, you are a hardy sole as the winters would wear on me. I will curb my D--- ... D--- responses. May you have fair seas and warm weather on you next cruise.

I say Dilly Dilly away -- it's a lot nicer than all of the jabbing comments some are wont to make :-)

We also got the $99 package last January, and am hoping it comes down from the current $199 for our next cruise. We have a large group, including our girls and their SO's, so will get it either way. I'm the family photographer, so it's nice to be in the pics for a change

It's like a bad accident. I shouldn't have looked. Now every time C-Boy uses that salutation that's the image I will see.

Keeping on topic, On one family trip I spent $800 on pictures and didn't receive a fraction of what is being received with this deal. If you ask me where the pictures are now I couldn't tell you. I don't even print pictures anymore. Everything is stored in the cloud.
