Arrival Time

Do cruise ships generally return to port on the final day in the morning? I can't see when our August 2019 cruise gets back into Southampton and was wanting to work out whether a train or car would be best for us to get to/from Southampton from Wakefield. There is one direct train per day back from Southampton which is just before 2pm.

They dock around 0630-0700 and start disembarkation around 0845. Last off would be around 1030.

I try to be off the ship for 8.30 latest

We take the car up the M40 to Cherwell Valley Services have a quick break

then use the A43 to get over to the M1 then back up into Yorkshire.

Sat back in the house having a cuppa around 1 -30 ish .So as you are just a bit further

up the road ,you could well be doing the same before the train has left Southampton.

Depends on if you fancy the drive or train really .

No-one has suggested Eavesway coaches....they work with all the cruise companies to provide a great nationwide service....

Don't assume a train which is running in August 2018 will be running next year.

A number of long distance routes have been rerouted and different destinations served to accommodate closures across the network.

But remember that Intercruise/Cruise Connect, not Eavesway, is P&Os official partner for cruise coaches. As official partner there is more protection if anything does go wrong, or delayed.

We self disembark and are usually of the ship and on the road by 7:45.

The ship is usually cleared of all disembarking passengers by 10am.
