5 ship day! Advice on how to escape crowds?

What is it you are interested in doing? Beach day? If so, Smith Cove stays fairly uncrowded, especially compared to 7 Mile Beach. They have restrooms, a couple of showers, picnic tables and shade, but no food available. You'd have to bring snacks with you or buy something in port before you go. Cemetery Beach is also very uncrowded, but they don't have any facilities or food.

Shopping in downtown is right outside of the pier. We have been in town when that many ships were there and were still able to shop without having to wait to long to buy anything anywhere.

First, 5 ships is fairly common so “the crowds” will be about the same in some places and not so much in others. Like Buffy said, depends on what you want to do. We’ve been to cemetery beach and the snorkeling is awesome. There’s absolutely nothing there though so take snacks and money for he bus back. We took a cab there and got the driver’s number to call her when we were ready to head back to Georgetown. You could also book sting ray city with a small boat vendor. Done that too and they took us places with no crowd for snorkeling until the cruise excursions had left the stingray area. We’ve also just stayed on the ship at times but we’ve been there many times and that may not apply to you. I wouldn’t sweat it too much. It’s a pretty well prepared island.

Hi friends,

I just learned that there are going to be 5 ships the day we are in GC. Any advice for beating the crowds? Thanks!

It was a nightmare with just four ships when we were there. We just strolled around town and ran back to the ship.

GC is a great place to visit when only one ship is in, but if we go there again with multiple ships we will just stay onboard.
