Sailing from southampton Oct 18

Hi all, We will be siling from Southampton in Oct.,2018. What is embarkation like at Southampton ? We will be on Celebrity Silhouette, will be staying @ local hotel night before. What is the best time to arrive @ the port?

Embarkation is like at any other port.

Make sure you check your paperwork, they may have suggested boarding times otherwise, if you arrive at around 11am you should be fine. Also make sure you go to the right dock, there are several and the distances are not close if you go to the wrong one, it is likely to be dock 101.

Looking at ABP's port calendar, Celebrity S. will be leaving from City terminal, dock 101. I suggest staying at the Holiday Inn, Herbert Walker Ave, which is next door to the dock- you can pay for a night including car parking for your cruise in a package.

We waited for the dock gate to open at 10.30am, and then rolled our suitcases along to hand them in, and then went back to the HI for coffee. At our boarding time of 12.15, we just walked back, following the marked path through the dock.

If you're not given a time, then you can try at 11.30, but that will be the busiest time.

If walking is a problem, several guests at the HI got reception to order a taxi.
