We will be on a Carnival Cruise with a stop in Nasaau. We would like to do a beach day. Does anyone know where the nearest beach is and are there any within short walking distance? My hubby can't walk far distances. Are taxis or Uber available . I read about Junkanoo Beach, how close to Carnivals dock is that? Thanks for info

I did a resort at Cable Beach (Melia), much less crowded. That same, it’s not walkable. A taxi or bus (jitney) is required. The taxi was about 10-20 minutes and the jitney was about 25-30 minutes.

We are thinking of taking the jitney to Cable Beach. Do you have to pay to use the beach? How much for chairs and umbrellas? Or is it a public beach?

Thanks,

Tony

I can’t say as I chose to visit a private resort. I believe the cost was about $45 per person. When we arrived, several cabbies tried to lure us away and offered to take us to a free beach area nearby. We declined as I was looking forward to Melia. I believe that there is a free access area at Cable Beach.
