First time on Azamara Quest questions

We will be taking the Quest April 14, 2019 (Circle Japan) and since this is our first time we have some basic questions.

1. Can you bring your own wine aboard without a corkage fee?

2. Departure port says Tokyo and Disembarkation port says Tokyo (Yokohama) since there are multiple ports for Tokyo is the departure point also Yokohama?

3. Is it true that Azamara does not have handicap accessible cabins? DW needs a wheel chair currently but may need a scooter by next year. Told this to the Azamara agent when we booked and he stated there are not accessible cabins on the Quest.

Thanks for your assistance.

There are definitely accessible cabins! There are three inside accessible cabins on deck 4 to start with, with extremely large bathrooms to cater for a wheel-in shower. We were in one of them during our last two cruises.

There are also two ocean view accessible cabins on deck 4, and two accessible suites on (I think) deck 6.

An Azamara rep told you no accessible cabins? Dreadful! He only had to look at the deck plans on Azamara's own web site.

You can take as many bottles of wine (or any other alcoholic/non-alcoholic drink) on board as you like. If you open and drink it in your cabin there is no corkage charge, but of you want to drink it in a public area, the corkage fee is $10 per bottle.

Thank you for the quick responses on the bringing of wine on board.

Maybe the accessible cabin one is that we requested a balcony and you stated they were inside cabins.

Thanks again

That’s probably it. The two accessible cabins on deck 6 used to be balcony cabins, but when the ships were reimagined they converted them to suites. I guess to keep their quota they converted three window cabins to two accessible ones on deck 4.

Didn't realise that Phil as I had been in one of those deck 6 accessible cabins when they were verandas. You are a fantastic source of information

The accessible cabins on deck 6 are club continent suites. (with extra large veranda)

We've done 28 Oceania cruises and we're now signed up for two Azamara cruises (Cuba Nov. 24 & Antarctica Jan. 6). What did you like better about Azamara compared to Oceania?

Hi, just to remind you that Azamara price includes wine and other drinks. Only premium beverages are excluded.

The included wines were imo quite acceptable.

In order to get feedback, you should start your own separate thread. Alternatively, do a search of this Forum as this topic has been discussed at length in the past. Do the same on the Oceania Forum.

We will be doing the Antarctica cruise in January on the Azamara Pursuit.  Does the Pursuit have streaming movies in the suites?  Do the suites have DVD players and/or a place to plug a DVD player into the cabins TV?

Thank you.

Joel

As far as I am aware the answer is no they don’t have either.

Since this thread was started I have put a sticky thread titled ‘Tips for Azamara Newbies’ at the top of this Azamara Club Cruises Forum. Lots of useful information there.
