Tips for visiting Jakarta

On our Star Clipper repositioning cruise between Bali and Singapore last October the ship called into Jakarta, the Indonesian Capital.

There was only the one scheduled ship's 4 hour excursion charged at €65 per person which was of limited appeal because it didn't actually include all the historical sites.

After some careful research my wife and I set our sites on a reasonably ambitious plan that would take us to the major sites, historically significant areas and the Istiqlal Mosque: the third largest Sunni Mosque in the World.

I have recently published a full review of what we saw in Jakarta and how we did it. The review contains over 50 photographs. Here is the link...

I would be delighted to answer any questions.
