I have not seen this addressed on this forum, hope it helps someone and is not old news. The logistics of requesting an absentee ballot to be mailed to me during a cruise in time for me to mail it back was intimidating. I found I could receive a ballot by email: https://www.fvap.gov/

I will have to print and return my voted ballot by snail mail. Other states may allow you to vote online or via fax, takes just a moment to check.
