Issues with Funshop Purchases & Gift Cards

Went to purchase some bar cash and other items for my 20th Anniversary cruise next June and it still wanted me to add a credit card even though my gift card would've more than covered it. So I called. Apparently they are having issues and you can't purchase anything with gift cards until August 22nd when they do something to their system. Just FYI...

Thank you for this info! I just purchased some gift cards to use for Funshop Purchases. Will wait until after the 22nd now.

I was on-line yesterday with the Carnival Fun Shops (August 17th) and I had no issues at all paying for my Cheers! package with gift cards. My husband and I went to the grocery store to buy the gift cards since they were offering double gasoline points. We came home and just half an hour later, I was redeeming my cards on-line. Whatever issue Carnival was having with gift cards, must have been resolved.

Be careful with buying the bar credits. They are only for bar purchases. Nothing else and in no refundable. Buying cruise cash can be used everywhere including casino to get your money back at the end of the cruise
