Has Anyone Sailed in a Very Forward Balcony Deck 5 QV?

We will be sailing on a very long cruise in cabin 5010 on the QV. Has anyone had any experience in or near this location? We are light sleepers so are concerned with any noise issues.

Thank you in advance for your comments.

Hi,

In 2015, I did a transatlantic crossing on the Queen Victoria (final segment of the World Cruise). I booked a guarantee balcony stateroom and was assigned to 7004. This is a very far forward stateroom that is located beneath the bridge wing. I did not experience any problems. The Queen Victoria is one of my favorite ships.

Not on deck 5 but on deck 4 - on QE. It was about 3 from the front and we felt every single wave hit the bow with an awful judder, and unfortunately also heard quite a lot of noise from the theatre.

Deck 5 may be better, I have no experience of it, but deck 4 forward - never again.
