Rare LewiLewi Posted July 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2018 We will be sailing on a very long cruise in cabin 5010 on the QV. Has anyone had any experience in or near this location? We are light sleepers so are concerned with any noise issues. Thank you in advance for your comments.

Rare LewiLewi Posted July 13, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted July 13, 2018 There are some answers on your previous thread https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=56459056 Yes there are, but none that answer my question. So hopefully, before our World Cruise in Jan. I will be fortunate enough to hear from someone who has had this cabin or one very close to it. seacruise9 Posted July 13, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 13, 2018 Hi, In 2015, I did a transatlantic crossing on the Queen Victoria (final segment of the World Cruise). I booked a guarantee balcony stateroom and was assigned to 7004. This is a very far forward stateroom that is located beneath the bridge wing. I did not experience any problems. The Queen Victoria is one of my favorite ships. Chuck
cruiseluvva Posted July 14, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2018 Not on deck 5 but on deck 4 - on QE. It was about 3 from the front and we felt every single wave hit the bow with an awful judder, and unfortunately also heard quite a lot of noise from the theatre. Deck 5 may be better, I have no experience of it, but deck 4 forward - never again.
Rare LewiLewi Posted July 14, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted July 14, 2018 Thank you for your comments. I wonder if we would be better off in an Aft cabin. As of now, 4173 and 4179 are available.
Glenndale Posted July 14, 2018 #7 Share Posted July 14, 2018 Thank you for your comments. I wonder if we would be better off in an Aft cabin. As of now, 4173 and 4179 are available. I would go for 4173 or 4179 rather than the very far forward one :)

Rare LewiLewi Posted July 14, 2018 Author #9 Share Posted July 14, 2018 Thank you. I have asked my TA to change our cabin from 5010 to 4173.
Rare LadyL1 Posted July 14, 2018 #10 Share Posted July 14, 2018 I think you will also find that you you have a larger balcony on deck 4. If you are on a warm water cruise, that has to be for the better!
