11AM Flight From FLL - Docking in Miami

Can one reasonably expect to make an 11AM flight from FLL when the cruise arrives in Miami.

where no flight before noon is recommended in your circumstances. Remember, on a weekend day tens of thousands will be coming from the port in Ft Lauderdale, and you will be trying to rush through checkin and security in the middle of that.

This is going to be stressful. You are probably going to need to take a taxi, or a prebooked car service, the two most expensive methods.

Did you book this flight before checking logistics?

So many factors that can affect whether or not you have enough time:

What time is your ship expected to dock and how long after that does your ship typically get cleared to begin disembarkation?

Are you willing and able to self disembark, carrying all your own luggage? Or will you be waiting for your tag number to be called and collecting your luggage in the port terminal?

How many pax does your ship carry? This could affect time to clear customs.

What transportation will you be using to get to from PoM to FLL?

Will you be able to check-in for your flight online ahead of time and/or will you be checking luggage? The answers determine whether or not you need to wait in an airport check-in line.

Do you have an airline fare class or airline status that allows you to use a priority check-in line?

Do you have TSA PreCheck?

What is Plan B if you miss your flight? Does your airline have additional flights later in the day to your home city? Some, like Spirit, may only have once a day service, or even once-every-other-day service.
