Charleston traffic issues.

Just a heads up for anyone coming to Charleston in the next month or so for a cruise or vacation. The bridge on I526 from Mt Pleasant to Daniel Island (west bound) will be close until sometime in mid June for emergency repairs (eastbound into MP is still open). The found a broken cable the other day and shut it down. :o Traffic is now forced to use detours and needless to say traffic is a nightmare. So anyone staying in MP and needing to get to the port (which is downtown Charleston) will need to allow for extra time and pack your patience as the Ravenel bridge is one of the detour routes.
