Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – NO foot traffic outside at all!! We were almost at the end of the hallway, going towards the bridge room, so did not have to hear any other passengers going past. ONLY noise we did here was a little 'sloshing' noise sometimes during the day. It seemed to be more in late morning for some reason. We were trying to figure out what it was & we think we may be underneath the Adult only hot tub or the Adult Pool?

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - Yes, it connects to 11520, which I think is a mini-suite (looks about half the size of the suite we were in)

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – View was great, no obstructions. Life boats are deck below, so if looking down you will see them.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Size was a bit larger, 3 seats I think & one lounger? Don't really remember though, sorry!

Was wind a problem? - Never, unless I leaned over the railing quite a bit, then I got some wind in my hair.

Any specific problems with this cabin? -

Only couple of minor issues that kind of bugged us. One of the sinks in the main bathroom had a slow trickle of water from the faucet, we let them know & they said they had the part on order, so had to deal with that & I could kind of hear it at night, but I am a very light sleeper. I didn't like the fact that if someone was brushing their teeth or doing something in the main bathroom, they could see you sitting on the potty (as the toilet had a glass door)! Our 2 girls stayed in the small bedroom (it has a 2 person pull out bed/couch, which is large enough for 2 older teens) and has a pull down bunk too. Well if you close the door, it is locked from the outside, unless you use a key! So if they wondered out & the door shut in the middle of the night, we had to look for our card. Or if we wanted to check on them, we had to look for our card.

their bathroom was super small too, whereas ours was super big (too big). lol

Any other comments? - This was a great cabin, the bottom level of the suites, but comes with all the perks - butler etc. We loved that, so did our 12yr old twin girls! Cabin has decent sized living area with couch that seats about 3. Nice large flat screen TV there. Small table with 3-4 chairs by fridge & bar, cupboard with silverware, dishes, glasses etc. Nespresso machine. Girls room was decent size & they had their own small bathroom with shower, sink & toilet. Or bedroom had queen bed, TV and curtain for privacy. :)

Was stateroom quiet?

Generally, yes. Although there did no appear to be many children on our sailing, we could hear the children in the room next door when our balcony door was open. We could also hear chairs being set out on deck above early in the morning and occasionally loud music.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? No.

Balcony view: No obstructions. Nice mid ship slightly closer to front of ship.

Balcony size: The balcony, like most others on the ship is small. They feel narrow. Based on reviews I had read, I was concerned about balcony size. It was not as bad as I had anticipated. The table is tiny.

Other: Being a mini suite, the only difference from a bacony stateroom is a larger bathroom with double sink and a fantastic shower. Very good location for spa and Vibe access. Carpet in room was worn. Drawer under couch was difficult to pull out. Bed is by closet, not balcony. Storage space is decent. Despite some occasional noise, we would be happy to have this stateroom again.

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – NO. Very loud. The walls creak constantly. Lots of audible hall noise due to sideways configuration. Can hear kids screaming on deck below from the window.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Odd configuration - hard to get two people dressed due to location of the closet and bathroom. The entire 8th floor of cabins smelled like sewerage from the hall.

Any other comments? - Great cruise but not a great cabin.

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – No noise from adjacent cabins or the theater above. There is a service hallway entrance across the hall. We occasionally heard noise from carts being rolled through that entrance. The last night was noisiest because of luggage being collected.

Balcony View - We didn't have a balcony, rather a window. The window was not clear due to salt spray and fogginess.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Aside from the noise mentioned above, there are two pull down beds which, even when folded up, made getting into bed a little cumbersome.

Any other comments? - Short walk to the elevator, stairs and gangway.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – This cabin has an "enclosed" balcony which means the outside view is framed with steel. So the panorama is somewhat more restricted than a "normal" balcony. Was not an issue for us but the cruiser should be aware. We got this cabin on an upgrade bid and were notified that it was an "enclosed" balcony.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Cooling got weak mid-cruise but returned to normal by the end. Never a real issue but we did have the cooling cranked down to max for several days. This may have been more of a shipwide problem than a specific cabin problem. Never got warm enough to complain about.

Any other comments? We would sail in this cabin again. It is far forward which means no noise from the open atrium intrudes. And it is away from the elevators which is also a plus for those of us who like quiet.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Sink stopper would not screw into sink, but would still work. One of the "grips" for the internal window came off in hand, not glued in.

Any other comments? - Very nice studio cabin. Very close to stbd passageway for easy access and also very close to stairwell leading down to studio lounge. The only one that seems better is 12575 which I have booked for my next two NCL cruises.

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very, very quiet - this cabin is the next to last one forward on the deck, and the only cabin farther forward is a 2 bedroom villa. The walk is a little long, but not uncomfortably so, and the distance means that there is very little noise from other passengers in the hall, or closing doors etc.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Nothing exceptional about the view, although I was able to wave at one of the ship's officers in the bridge section that juts out from the side of the ship - and he waved back.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - normal - fit 2 chairs and a side table comfortably.

Was wind a problem? - Never

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - na

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No. The room was quiet and well appointed. Getting in and out of the tub was uncomfortable - it is not a walk in shower, but a traditional bathtub with a full raised side, slightly elevated above the floor such that when you stepped out, you needed to be mindful of the drop and hang on. If I were elderly or less limber, I might not have managed to get in and out without hurting myself. The bed was also odd - instead of using fitted sheets, Norwegian uses flat sheets and tucks them in, but our sheet kept coming untucked, and every morning I woke up on top of a bare mattress that showed some age. (That's a little nitpicky, but it was annoying.)

Any other comments? -The butler, Gary, was very helpful and kind.

Any other comments? –Being an accessible cabin it was a great size, probably 50% larger than a regular one. The "Obstructed View" wasn't exactly obstructed, just the lower portion of the window - it was great! I had read to adjust the beds in a backwards L shape and highly recommend it! Makes it so much more roomy! This room is parallel to the starboard deck, not like 90% of the rooms on the ship. Since it was an accessible room the commode was raised and if you are 5'4" like me, or less, the it may be tricky lol. The room was close to the aft elevator and stairs, but not close enough to hear the elevators or passengers.

Quiet Stateroom? NO - Pool, water slides, and climbing wall were on the deck 15 above us and there were only a few hours in the middle of the night when it was really quiet. The deck above was also the running track for morning joggers and when in port, this started at 5AM. There were a lot of family cabins on deck 14, and we had at least 2 nights with kids in the halls ringing doorbells on the suites in the middle of the night.

Any specific problems with this cabin? There is no place to sit in the cabin and only chairs on the the outside deck. If you order food like breakfast for an early excursion, you have to eat on the deck or sit on the end of the bed. My wife complained about the noise daily and eventually they moved us to the Haven (17th floor) for the last 4 nights of the cruise and we were able to sleep.

Any other comments? Loved the Haven amenities, restaurant and bars. The Haven cabin was great, but not the first 11 nights in 14139 cabin under Deck 15. Overall the cruise was good but without sleep, it was not as expected. I am not sure that we will ever get on a large cruise ship again but we learned to know about the cabins before you ever book something like this. Paying extra for a Haven Spa Suite on 14 was not really in the Haven and definitely a bad way to go.

Balcony View - No obstructions. For our sailing (W Carrib.) we didn't get a lot of afternoon sun so it was chillier (and less sun bathing).

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - M6 has the giant balcony-- two loungers, 2 chairs, and a table, with enough room for one more lounger or chair if we'd wanted.

Was wind a problem? - It was windy on a couple of sea days, but not related to balcony location.

Any other comments? - Bed was by the balcony for this cabin number, which many people like. For us, our balcony became a central hangout spot. It was a pain to have everyone squeeze by the bed to/from the balcony, than if the bed was by the door. Great location-- A few steps to district brew house, and a flight of stairs up from OSheehan's.

There are barriers between the port and starboard cabins, but you can view a little to both sides at the railing. But then the others can see you there too. Also, balconies above can see you if you stand at the railing and they are standing at their railing too.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversized. Room for a table and 4 chairs as well as 3 loungers. And still extra space.

Was wind a problem? - Along the railing, yes. But sitting on the loungers or table, no - as they sit back from the railing quite a bit.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No, really a lovely room.

Any other comments? - There is a separate living/dining and bedroom/bath with a second powder room in the living area space. The closet is similar to a walkin closet in a home. Both the bedroom and living room can access the balcony. Even though it was a large room, if there are more than 2 people, the others would only have use of the pull out sofa to sleep, and the living room is the same size as a 2 bedroom suite.

It does extend out so balconies above have a clear view, but the extra size was well worth it. No obstructions at all.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - not at all. Plenty of storage space. Bathroom has a double sink and the Rainshower system with glass shower doors. Hair dryer works great and fridge kept our water cold

Any other comments? - Hallways are very narrow and low. My husband is 6'7 and kept hitting the exit signs with his head if he did not duck. Don't forget the look for the swimming fish on the carpet as they point towards the front of the ship.

Normal or oversized for class? - none (obstructed - about 30%, mostly lower portion of picture window, over the lifeboat w. walkaway) ... please keep curtains closed if privacy is desired, as authorized crew usually in white overalls will be doing maintenance, inspection & washing, etc. when docked or tendering, even if lifeboats aren't launched.

No - these rooms have been upgraded with a LG brand HDTV monitor and bedside, emergency call buttons since it's for the accessible. USB charging ports have not been added as upgrade yet.

This is an accessible stateroom, obstructed oceanview and it is larger than usual to make it wheelchair friendly, with roll-in bathroom & shower and appropriate handle bars, beware of wet floor when taking a shower, a sit-down safety chair is provided.

It sleep up to 4, ideally no more than 3 as the 4th. person will be on an upper pullman bed that drop down, access via a ladder, over the main beds. There are 2 single beds that can be pushed together to form a Queen bed to sleep 2, or as standalone - a 3rd. one is the trundle bed that's lowered & stored under one of the main bed, if not used. The beds are usually in what's considered "sideway" configurations and roomy enough even with 3 single beds set up, space to walk between the beds.

Storage space is more than enough, sliding drawers and shelves with doors, and some open shelves, electrical outlets for 110 volts and 220 volts, a mini-refrigerator and a mini-safe. Coffee/hot-water maker (1 cup) can usually be requested, if available, from the Room Steward.

A low-back chair for sitting has been replaced by a round stool.

Yes, it is quiet - situated along a long corridor, between the Midship elevators & stairs, but closer to the Forward elevators & stairs. Basically underneath the casino area above, but no noises heard.

Yes - it can be opened & connect to #5032 next door, another Oceanview

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - none. The large picture window is not blocked and has a great view of the ocean & outside, sliding curtains closed will keep the room dark for sleeping late.

This is almost a Midship location, an Oceanview stateroom with a big pictureview window. The nearest elevators and stairs are FWD, an easy & shorter walk than the MIDship elevators & stairs, that lead up to the MDR, atrium lobby & buffet (Garden Cafe)

It sleep up to 3, ideally 2 as the 3rd person (child/teen) will be on an upper pullman bed that drop down, access via a ladder, over the main beds. The 2 single beds can be pushed together to form a Queen bed to sleep, or as standalone - mattresses were very firm & comfortable to sleep on, with asking for the foam topper.

Storage space is very good and more than enough for 3 or 4, sliding drawers and shelves with doors, and some open shelves, electrical outlets for 110 volts and 220 volts, a mini-refrigerator and a mini-safe. Coffee/hot-water maker (1 cup) can usually be requested, if available, from the Room Steward. Inside the closet, behind the clothing rod - there is a switch for a closet light. An eBag convertible 22" carry-on/backpack fit easily on the top, open shelf above the mini-refrigerator. Items & contents in the refrigerator are not free & inventorized, and a 20% stocking fee is added as a surcharge on top of "costs" listed on a sheet.

A low-back chair for sitting has been replaced by a round stool.

Obstructions: with 2 small Oval Oceanview Windows that look thru the lifeboat, it brings in fair to good amount of natural outside lights, but not much of any views at all, I estimated it to be about 85% blocked (obstructed) but no window tinting whatsoever.

Was wind a problem? - not applicable. Room itself is in a relatively quiet location, no noises coming from above, below or across the hallway. Room Steward has service & storage closets nearby but they are further away and doors don't get slammed.

Any specific problems with this cabin? -

No - these rooms have been upgraded with a LG brand HDTV monitor and bedside. Bedside reading lamp has been upgraded with a new LED light, good output & bright, and next to the light switch is an USB charging port (apparently, not all the staterooms had been upgraded yet ...)

Any other comments? -

Deck 8 with its series of twists & turns along the corridors are quiet, with staterooms above and is quiet. The nearest elevators and stairs are Midship, an easy & short walk to nearby O'Sheehan's on Deck 8, 1 deck below is the atrium lobby, across to Deck 7 AFT for the Grand Pacifica MDR or 1 more deck down to Magneta MDR, LeBistro & the Casino. Take the elevator up to Deck 12 for the Garden Cafe (buffet) & checkout the Great Outdoors, AFT - weather permitting and of course, check the schedule for the outdoor BBQ poolside.

All of the Obstructed OV sleeps 2 and there are no hanging bed frame along the wall to worry about banging one's head in the dark. The 2 single beds can be pushed together to form a Queen bed to sleep, or as standalone - mattresses were very firm & comfortable to sleep on, with asking for the foam topper.

Storage space is very good and more than enough for 2 for cruises longer than 7 to 10 days plus, with sliding drawers and shelves with doors, and some open shelves, electrical outlets for 110 volts and 220 volts, a mini-refrigerator and a mini-safe. Coffee/hot-water maker (1 cup) can usually be requested, if available, from the Room Steward. Inside the closet, behind the clothing rod - there is a switch for a closet light. An airline-sized, eBag convertible 22" carry-on/backpack fit easily on the top, open shelf above the mini-refrigerator. I used packing cubes as it keep the contents neat, clean & easy to unpack and repack (after getting soiled items washed & folded on the ship mid-week, ours done complimentary as Platinum benefits). Up to two 25" rollerboards can lie flat inside the floor of the closet. Even bigger suitcases can be stored under the beds, as tall as 15" or higher are fine (elevated higher than the typical bed frame at home and even hotels.)

Items & contents in the refrigerator are not free & inventorized, and a 20% stocking fee is added as a surcharge on top of "costs" listed on a sheet. A low-back chair for sitting has been replaced by a round stool.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - The balcony had a table with four chairs and two loungers. The balcony was not real deep but was as long as the cabin. See attached photos.

Was wind a problem? - At times, but it was not a big issue.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - No soot issues.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - We did not have any problems with this cabin.

Any other comments? - This cabin has two full bathrooms which is convenient. Living room is separate from the bedroom. There is a table with two chairs for dining in cabin. It is a long walk to the Haven so this cabin would not be convenient for those with walking disabilities. Hubby and I prefer the exercise so we don't mind walking. It is one of our favorite types of aft cabins.

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes, except for the fact that you could hear your neighbors flushing their toilets in the middle of the night because they were so loud.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Was wind a problem? - A little bit, but anyone who expects no wind when you're outside on a moving boat is unrealistic. It certainly wasn't excessive.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Could not figure out how to get the sink water temperature to change. We had to brush our teeth with scalding hot water, and if we refilled water bottles they were boiling hot and had to be placed in the fridge overnight to cool to drinking temperatures. I didn't care for the shower water pressure, but my 2 companions didn't mind it.

Any other comments? - The bathroom situation on the Epic takes a lot of getting used to. Yes, the walls are frosted glass, but you can still clearly tell the difference between when my husband was peeing or pooping. My MIL eventually started using the public toilets near the atrium for doing her business for more privacy and we simply kept the curtain closed all the time. Also, the toilets are LOUD. So if you have to pee in the middle of the night, you wake up the entire cabin (and those next door as well). Louder than an airplane toilet for some reason.

Not sure where to host pictures in order to include them here, but I have some from our cabin if anyone has booked this particular room and wants to see them. Let me know and I'll figure it out.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - We initially had an issue with the shower, flooded most of the bathroom floor because the drain was clogged but they responded very quickly and resolved the issue.
