I can find a sheet that lists dates for the individual cruises, but I've not seen prices in advance of the opening date in the past many years. Yes, it would save a lot of worthless calls and waiting. It would also be inaccurate. In 2005 my cruise increased in price $800 between the time I saw it on line and the time I got an agent on the phone! The DCL agent said that he'd been so busy that he'd seen prices increase while he had people on the line. Yes, once he had a client and a booking on his screen, it held at that rate while he did the booking...at least that was good.

Do the Platinum, Gold, and Silver members get a better price by having early access to booking? Or is it just a better selection?

I'd like to compare a DCL cruise to a RCCL cruise(sale ends tonight) for next October...can anyone do a mock booking for me who is Platinum?

The less full a ship is, the lower the fares. So yes, opening day bookings are generally the lowest they will ever be, although rarely last minute rates are lower than opening day rates.

There is another web site, operated by a travel agency, that will begin listing fares that people report as of first thing this morning. But I can tell you, RCCL will be very significantly less than DCL! If you are talking about 2018, you can see the exact fare now. For 2019, I'd suggest that you search Disney related sites and you will find this other site. I'm not being coy; we are not permitted to name such sites on Cruise Critic.

We have largely switched to other lines since I no longer have young children and DCL prices are so awful. Yes, we still love DCL and look for the occasional great rate....but, as an example, we were able to book a 2 week cruise (B2B) in Alaska this summer in a suite for about half of the cost of a balcony on a DCL ship for a single week! And Alaska is about Alaska, not about Disney. While DCL used to be our first choice line, we now need a reason to book with them.

I called my TA, but she cannot book for me until Wednesday, as I am only silver. :(

I also wanted a 3 day Halloween on the High Seas like we did last year, but I was only able to see a 2 day from San Diego.

I will take it. :D

Can you post somewhere the specific ships and itineraries for dec 2019 for those of us who cannot see them yet?

I'll see what I can find. The problem is that I don't have access to a chart that shows everything. All I can get is what people are sharing. OH, I just read your request again--sailings, I should be able to get. I don't know why the Fantasy Dec 14th sailing is on the schedule, but it isn't there. That might mean the schedule I can see is not complete!

As Gold Castaway, I can see the cruises but all it says when I try to go further down the booking programme is "No staterooms available for your date and size of party"!?!? Party size is two adults, one stateroom. Go figure.

We were in Disney World when the itineraries came out. Booked the 8-Night on the Fantasy on OCtober 19, 2019. Price was better than I expected given the summer prices I had seen. It's looking to be a pretty popular cruise too.

I booked a 4-night Very Merrytime Cruise yesterday.

Sails Dec12-16th, 2019.

a 9B Oceanview was $3,200 for two adults and two kids (6 and 2).

Pricey, but Disney is pricey, plus it's a Merrytime cruise, which I've always wanted to do, and my little one will turn 3 on the trip :) So we get out of throwing a birthday party, hehe.

Just so you know...you can go to Guest Services on the birthday and get a new KTTW card which will be coded with her new age. This will allow you to register her for the Oceaneer's Club as a drop off (rather than just open house hours) if you feel this is appropriate.

You are likely to be told that people keep their age at embarkation throughout the cruise, and in general this is true. But at those ages where it makes a difference in what is permitted, they'll re-issue the card and you do get the new status. Similarly, someone turning 21 can get a new card showing an A for "adult" and allowing purchase of alcohol; someone turning 18 can get a new card with a "B" meaning they are permitted in "adult only" locations.

Is there usually lots of adjoining staterooms left when bookings become open to everyone?

Well, bookings opened to anyone last Thursday (5/24), so you can see what is available. Also, do you need "lots" or do you need a pair of rooms with the connecting interior door? A pair of rooms should be available on most cruises. If you are trying to get 10 cabins in a row for a huge family, you'll do better going thru the groups booking desk as they may be able to move some bookings around to get what you need. They can also look and tell you where they can get the number you need.

There is no way to predict what will be available on any given ship or any given cruise. New and different cruises have been known to almost sell out on the first "platinum" booking day, only to show up as *GTs when people took time to realize how out of line the prices were and canceled the cruise. I was one of those who canceled when I realized that the DCL booking in an inside cabin cost more than double the same cruise on Princess in a balcony! And a DCL balcony was 4 times the cost of a Princess balcony. Yes, overall I like DCL better, but not that much better.

What I'm saying is that what is available today is not necessarily what will be available tomorrow or in 6 months. If you have your heart set on something, keep checking back.
