I am getting a bit confused with the public beaches in cannes

Is plage de la croisette public and if so can you get sunbeds

also is plage de midi a public beach and are sunbeds available

Which is the nicer and are they both walking distance from the port

many thanks

Here is a map of Cannes:

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Cannes,+France/@43.5445558,7.0236421,15.79z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x12ce8180530cffff:0x40819a5fd979e20!8m2!3d43.552847!4d7.017369?hl=en

It goes from Le Suquet in the West to the Cap de la Croissette in the East. The entire beach in front of the hotels is La Croissette, that is also the name of the Boulevard along the beach. There is a private beach concession in the middle also called Plage de la Croissette. (plage=beach).

Zoom into the map along the shore. It will show the name of all the public and private beaches along La Croissette.

Of the public beaches, only Macé and Zamenhoff rent umbrellas and sunbeds.

Here is the tourist office map of the beaches and info on pubic beaches:

http://www.cannes-destination.com/index/must-see (Click on beaches.)

Also, check this website for information on all the public and private beaches and prices:

http://www.riviera-beaches.com/Cannes/La-Croisette.html

It has links to each beach and a link for a map:

If you want to find information about any other beaches in the Riviera, go to the main page:

Interesting map :). Our favorite beach (for swimming and relaxing) is not even on that map...but would be to the left of the map within a short walk of the tender pier. I believe its called Plage du Midi. In the past there have been some lounge rentals on this beach..but not sure of the current situation. We have always been unimpressed by the more famous beach area along La Croisette where it seems like the more pebbles..the higher the price :).
