Anybody been on Celebrity during a popular sporting event? Do they show it? Thanks..

Possibly in the casino. It will depend on if they’ve got the channels. They did a big thing with the NFL draft when we sailed. They even had it on the movie screen on deck 12.

We went on a cruise many years ago (not Celebrity) while the World Cup games were being played Cruise was plagued by bad service all around, lots of employees including bartenders, etc watching the matches instead of doing their jobs.

We were on Celebrity Reflection during 2014 World Cup and they played all games and it was a big deal! It was a Mediterranean cruise.

Yes, we have been on for a World Cup and Euro Cup. They will have it on in the casino and many crew members will be very interested and talking about it. It is really a fun atmosphere even though soccer isn’t that big in the US, being around so many people from different corners of the world be so cited about one singular event is really fascinating.

Often they will also set up a party with food and drinks, we experienced this several years ago for the opening night of the NFL.

Haven't done this on Celebrity, but we were on Explorer of the Seas during the World Cup in 2014, and they had almost all the games in their sports bar, but for what ultimately was the game where the US was eliminated, they took over the theater, had snacks, and opened the bar. It was a a well attended party (it was a daytime match with nothing else going in the theater as well).

That World Cup was in the Atlantic time zone, so Eastern +1; this one will be in Russia...

We were on the Reflection in the Med in June 2014 during the WC. They set up a TV at the Sunset Bar. Great and very popular place to hang out and watch the matches, especially at night. Who knows if they will do that again for 2018.
