legallysparkly Posted June 28, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2018 So I'm going on my honeymoon on the trip on the Royal Caribbean quantum of the seas leaving out of shanghai on July 7. My new husband and I have been putting off booking our shore excursions because there were so few choices and, based on our past experiences on royal Caribbean cruises (in admittedly more tropical destinations), we hoped that there would be more added closer to the trip. It appears that there are even fewer options now, so we called customer service line and confirmed they were all booked up. Ack! We've made a terrible mistake! Okay so now we're trying to make our own plans for Kobe, Japan (July 10) and Tokyo/Yokohama (July 11). I managed to book something for Osaka on July 9, but husband apparently wanted to go to Kyoto from there (in the...9 hours we're in port), so if anyone has recommendations for Kyoto, those would be appreciated as well. Does anyone have any reputable tour guide recommendations? Do we have a chance at all of making this work or DIY-ing? I don't speak any Japanese but the husband is pretty good at it, not fluent, but better than your average tourist to Asia, I think. ANY help would be greatly greatly appreciated
