Icecoldcranberry Posted September 26, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2018 We are cruising on the Symphony of the Seas and will be stopping in St. Thomas. As of now RCL is not offering their kayaking excursion so I am looking for a private company that would offer something similar. Can anyone recommend a good tour company that offers kayaking and hiking? Is the water calm enough for our seven and nine year olds (we would each have one in our kayak).... Ms411 Posted September 28, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2018 Virgin Islands Ecotours has the exclusive on kayak tours in the mangrove lagoon. Many children of that age have taken the tours because the water is usually so very calm. You can book with them direct, and there are usually discount coupons available on a few websites (well, that was before the storms. Haven't checked recently.:)
lasekeye Posted October 8, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2018 Carnival offers this excursion. Does anybody have experience with this trip? We want to be sure that 2 some-what inactive mid-50s will be able to do this......DH also has a bit of hip/knee issues. All input would be great. Ms411 Posted October 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 8, 2018 Yes, people much older than 50+ can do this excursion. The water is usually very calm and the guides are very good in helping people maneuver the kayak. The water is also pretty shallow and everybody wears a life jacket even while snorkeling.
