Bell on QM2?

Is the big bell still on the QM2 and used for noontime clock changes?

I heard it was relocated immediately after the refit, but recall it last May. In following the reports of the QE2 hotel project, there were some reports of the QE2 bell being returned. Is it the same bell?

I just returned from 120 days on the QM2 and there is indeed a big bell in the Grand Lobby that is sounded every day at noon.

btw ... this is a 'ceremonial' bell ......

a ship is required to have a bell (out side) in order to comply with the International Rules Of The Road"

which in rule 35g says a vessel at anchor ...... ring the bell rapidly .....

this means a bell 'outside'
