For those interested in where Leslie Jon is (5/17/18)

I doubt that Leslie Jon will be on Riviera in November -- while I was told (probably in Renaissance days) that the ordinary crew had 6 month contracts, officers and no doubt CDs have much shorter ones. And there is no guarantee that after the vacation Jon would return to the ship he just left.

I don't do Trivia, and rarely see much of the entertainment in the evening, but I do expect a CD to be visible throughout the day on board and to have suitable activities programmed to sea days/sailaways etc. (one thing Leslie does very well).

I just disembarked Marina yesterday in Southampton, and the current CD Peter Roberts was conspicuous by his absence. In 25-30 cruises I don't think I've never not seen a CD out and about, but 15 days without even seeing the CD is a first! He described one port, Saint Pierre & Miquelon, on the PA system, as "a very small place with nothing to do".....needless to say we filled our day in this small, bucolic but fascinating outpost of France.

I sincerely hope that the likes of Leslie and Dottie aren't jumping ship......
