How long for self walking tour

How long would it take to walk from the ship to Queen's Staircase (and from what I understand Fort Fincastle is right there too) and back including the time spent at the staircase?

Oh, and I assume that's free because it's a staircase lol, but is admission charged for the fort?

We did this in Feb... the walk was up hill, so be prepared for that. I would say, taking your time it would be 45 min to the staircase. Then you climb the stairs and at the top, take a right to the fort. I think the fort was $3-4pp, not big at all, but great views.
