Ama vs. Viking

we cruised the Rhine on Ama last Year and loved it. We want to book the Danube for 2019 and it seems Viking is considerably less expensive. I can't determine what constitutes the difference in price. Can anyone tell me? Is there a difference in food or service? Thanks.

Compare the number of passengers (both companies' ships are the same 135m long) and cabin sizes.

We cruised the Danube on the AmaViola and thought the line and long ship excellent.

We cruised the Danube with Viking and thought they were fantastic. All the way around. They may have more people but it never felt crowded to us. We had previously cruised with Avalon and had a great time but to us Viking was superior to Avalon that after our Danube cruise we booked two other river cruises with Viking.
