9 day cruise, how much to pack

Does your ship have self service laundry? How do you feel about sending out laundry? What is your destination? Will you be visiting many beaches? Are your kids water babies? If so, you might pack more swimsuits than other things. Things that you wear to dinner can be sorn the next day. You don't need three different outfits every day. EM

Daytime wear is shorts/swimsuits....and it will depend on the cruise line, as to what you wear to dinner! You can always do laundry on land at some point, if your ship doesn't have self-laundry. Sending clothes out to be washed is expensive, IMO!

We were on a trip of about 18 days total and I think I packed about 10 t-shirts and 10 shorts per kid, with the plan to do laundry after about 7 days or so. I brought a few pairs of long pants, and a couple of light hoodies/jackets. For a 12 night trip I'd probably do about 7 shirts and 7 bottoms with some long/short pants as needed. And yes, extra swimwear.
