Silver Muse in Dublin

We enjoyed a fabulous evening last night on Silver Muse.

We had a tour, then had a wonderful dinner in Indochine followed by drinks in Silver Note.

As it was a beautiful warm sunny evening, very rare in Dublin, we contemplated dining in Hot Rocks, but decided we had to try a new restaurant so Indochine was chosen.

We were very impressed, and we really appreciated the lighter woods and muted colour tones of the ship.

If there was one thing neither of us liked, it was the new fragrance in all public areas except Restaurants, it was like Citronella.

The public bathrooms still had a more familiar nicer fragrance from what we remember from Spirit.

Unfortunately we couldn’t view any suites as passengers were still boarding.

Atlantide is a beautiful dining room.

We also liked Kaiseki, which was very busy last night as was Indochine.

We always adored the colour scheme of the bar on Silver Spirit but certainly appreciated the new colour scheme of Dolce Vita, Particularly the cushions which reminded me of the deep ocean.

Dolce Vita was very busy last night at 6.30pm after 6pm Muster Drill, for pre dinner drinks accompanied by a wonderful pianist. This is a huge space but it was certainly half full, great atmosphere.

The waiters served canapés of Smoked Salmon, shrimp and caviar on Blinis.

The Duo that entertain in Silver Note had embarkation night off so we had Tim who was an excellent singer, pianist and also guitar player.

It was very difficult having to leave after a very memorable evening.

A few photos follow to include the new menu for Indochine in case anyone is interested.

We had appetiser portions of the Lobster and also the King Crab, followed by Pho.

For mains I had the excellent Lemon Grass Beef , my Husband had the Malabar Chicken (no photo) we forgot!

Everything we ate was outstanding although I did find the sauce on my crab a little sweet.

Enjoy Food Porn.

Most beautiful food (and ship) porn! Was the "sparkly one with the dollop" the creme brulee? Looked lovely....not overly done up!

Thank you for taking the time to photograph for us!

Thanks so much Mudhen.

You are very welcome.

I really appreciate the time and effort that everyone here on the Silversea board has given.

I have lurked, and occasionally posted

But I have learnt so much over the years.

I’m still trying to get the photo posting working. It’s trial and error.

I couldn’t seem to post notes with all photos and I had about 15 photos but could only post 6 at a time.

Unfortunately dessert ended up in the wrong set of photos.

What you see is actually Ginger and Lime Creme Brûlée with I think a sorbet on top.

Thanks for the pics, sakaara! Very enjoyable. Sounds like you had a lovely time!

The six photos per post is a CC limitation. You are not doing anything wrong; that's just how they do it. AFAIK there is no workaround. FYI, if you put an emoji in your post, that also counts as one picture, so then you could only post 5 pictures plus an emoji, for example.

Thanks JP,

Quick question, do you know how to edit tapatalk when it has been posted?

Is it possible to change sequence of photos to also include a line of text?

I’m not happy with the way all the photos blend into each other and would like to move a photo.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Seeing sakaara's great menu and food photos reminds me I'm no where near my pre-sailing weight with just 5-weeks to go before boarding. I'm going to be a whale by the time disembarkation rolls around, because I enjoy Silversea's dining options so much and have a hard time saying "no" to all of their goodies.

You can edit, but only for 30 minutes after you've posted. The time limit used to be 20 minutes but it was recently changed. After that, the edit option is no longer available.

Echo Kudos for Sakaara's wonderful Muse post in words and photos--thank you.

Continue to enjoy your Muse voyage!

Wes, thanks for your kind words.

Unfortunately we were only onboard Muse for dinner.

We will be onboard Spirit on 07 June for lunch in Atlantide and will post then also.

I would like to thank both yourself and Ida, for the fabulous reports that you do.

They have been a great source of information and inspiration!

I particularly appreciate your wine recommendations, as often when away a wine list can be a minefield.

I have on occasion dazzled my husband with a choice of wine you recommended ( Shafer Relentless ), when we love to choose local wines but don’t know where to start.

Also , have to admit being converts to the Duck Ragu Papardelle!

Thanks again.

Regards

S, blushing and as so many of the wonderful Silversea servers say, “my pleasure”. Btw, Shaffer as a knockout 2014 Merlot if they have it on the wine list.
