Recommended Posts

Well we just got off the SS Mariner a few days ago.

Beware of several severe withdrawal symptoms……….

  1. Butler Witdrawal
  2. Someone Making Your Suite Up 2 Times A Day
  3. Breakfast Made To Order
  4. Mid-Morning Coffee Break with Snack
  5. Lunch at Your Leisure
  6. Mid Afternoon Coffee & Cookies
  7. Mid Day Naps
  8. Evening Snack from the Butler
  9. Laundry Taken Care OF For You
  10. Dinner Choices, Not Just What You Want, But Where You’ll Eat
  11. Great Service From Crew On Ship
  12. 100’s of Smiles Everyday
  13. Making New Freinds In Just A Few Days
  14. Learning To Do Nothing, And Knowing That’s OK
  15. Getting A Good Nights Sleep
  16. Booking Another Cruise And Getting A Discount, Knowing Your Going To Have To Do This All Over Again.

So be warned, it could happen to you………..Rick & Ron:D

Perhaps they were in a Regent suite. Read the following.

  • FREE FIRST CLASS AIR* FOR ALL DOMESTIC (U.S.) FLIGHTS
  • FREE BUSINESS CLASS AIR* FOR ALL INTERCONTINENTAL FLIGHTS

  • FREE ROUNDTRIP PRIVATE SEDAN TRANSFERS BETWEEN AIRPORT AND HOME
  • FREE PERSONAL CAR AND GUIDE TO EXPLORE ASHORE

  • FREE UNLIMITED IN-SUITE CANYON RANCH® SPA SERVICES
  • FREE UNLIMITED LAUNDRY AND PRESSING

I hate that word FREE. You are paying for it one way or another.

Hmmmm, did you have your laundry taken care of for you after only cruising on Regent twice? I believe that many of us would be interested in your answer. Thanks in advance.

They said laundry was taken care of by the butler. Did they say it was FREE? If in a Regent suite it would be.

Please not another laundry thread.

They neither said by the butler nor that this was free ;)

I , too, enjoy having my laundry taken care of when traveling- only I usually have to pay for this ;) but, God, it is SO worth it! [emoji106][emoji4]

No, they were in a Grand Suite on the Mariner (Regent Suite is only on Explorer). So, either they paid for laundry or ????? In any case, this deserves an answer lest people reading this thread think that Regent offers free laundry to everyone when in fact it is only for Seven Seas Society Platinum and above members and those saying on the "special" Mediterranean cruises this summer (Regent likely used the free laundry promotion to sell cruises that were not selling well.)

I agree with everything that the TS said but simply question that one item. If they paid for their laundry, it would make sense.

I might add another post cruise thought. Beware of questions about your dirty laundry. :halo:

Seriously, enjoyed your post today and the remarkable non-partisan descriptions of your adventures onboard.

We totally agree.

Greetings from South Beach, ronrick. I said you had common sense. We also have the addiction you describe. However, we will have to rely on time to bring it under control. Thanks for a clear discussion of the disorder.

I've really enjoyed reading your updates during your trip and also this wrap-up.

I'm booked on the Mariner for my first RSSC cruise this fall: "Serene Sunsets" -- 28 nights Vancouver to Miami via Alaska and the Panama Canal. This will be my third cruise ever. My first was Holland America to Alaska last fall for 14 days; the second is coming up this summer, also Holland America, 38 days "Voyage of the Vikings" r/trip from Boston. I arrive back home from the Vikings cruise and 17 days later, I board the Mariner -- so 17 days to unpack from a north Atlantic / Arctic cruise, and repack for Alaska and the Caribbean. I'm an obsessive list-maker, so I should have everything lined up, but still ...

Anyway, thanks again for sharing your experiences. It definitely helps "newbies" like me get a sense of life onboard.
