Waitlist Question

If I make a reservation and am waitlisted for the category I really want, will I automatically be given a cabin in that cat when my name comes up on the list? If I have to be contacted and miss the call, will I be passed over?

I would think if you put a despot down and you give your TA the approval to accept the offer you wouldn't miss out.

if your name comes up to clear the waitlist you have 48 hrs to respond

the cruise price will be the current one in effect which may or may not the same as when you booked

Did you give a deposit? How far out is the cruise ? I have learned over the years to check O website and bring up your cruise to see what is available .I have switched cabins multiple times. You just call Oceania not your TA for a fast switch.

I had a deposit for a veranda cabin and was waitlisted for a PH. When one became available (about 3 weeks ago for a January 2019 cruise), my TA told me (by email) that I had until 9:00 that evening to decide if I wanted it. We did switch.

Thanks, everyone. I finally got a hold of my TA. He says that when our name comes up first on the waitlist and a cabin comes available, O will email him and he has 72 hours to respond. If there is no response, O moves on to the next person in line. I gave him permission to ok the move as soon as he gets their email. I hope it works!!
