Military Discounts

My wife and I are both Navy veterans. I did 6 years. She retired with 22.5 years. I know that discounts vary by cruise line. What I am wondering is, if we register and get verified with say Carnival will our military status across other Carnival owned companies or do we need to register with each one?

Thanks in advance:)

The only cruise line that gives a really good deal is Princess. They give cabin credit to each veteran in the amount of $50 per person for say a 4-day cruise, $100 per person for 7 days, etc. Once you've applied and been approved it will automatically appear when you book a new cruise.

Princess may be the only one with a regular deal for military like that but others run specials that can be amazing. There was an unbelievable rate for 3 and 4 days out of long beach on carnival last spring, we got an even better deal with a casino offer but it was so good we were able to go back to back for 7 full days with what we had budgeted for a 4 day (casino offer made us able to afford a better room for those 7 days). Currently we have our eye on the Norwegian sailing around Hawaii. If we booked today we'd be saving $500 per person off the regular fare for the military rate on a balcony room. The kicker is they tend to be relatively last minute specials but since leave can only be requested so far in advance anyways it isn't that bad being last minute!

My son is in the Air Force and recently booked through Costco. Costco gave him $100 in shipboard credit on a 7 day RCCL cruise out of Tampa for being active military, in addition to the $70 credit Costco members got. I don't know if they also do this for retired military.
