We will be cruising for the first time this summer on HAL Westerdam and will no doubt spend most nights in the casino.

Can we expect to get any comps during our trip?

Do they use a player card?

Are the drinks free while you are playing?

Are the slot machines on ships the newer kind with screens or the old reel kind?

Don't know about Westerdam, but my last cruise was on Koningsdam which will be will have the same rules I guess. For playing BJ at $25/$50/$100 (my "system" :D) I got free drinks and a letter to contact CAS, which would give me $250 if I booked again.

Your room key is your player card and they insist on scanning it.

Don't know about the slot machines, the best part is co-players and the dealer all having the same goal :)
