Realistically, what time should we be off ship on the last day? We are going into Vancouver and I assume we will have to go throug customs considering we are American. When should we be out of the port with our bags in hand assuming normal wait times?

You can normally disembark the ship any time between about 7:30 and 10:15. You will get an assigned time based on the departure info you have supplied to Princess. If your assigned time is not satisfactory, go to passenger services to change it. If you are self-disembarking (taking all your own luggage with you, not placing it out the night before), you can depart at any time in the range.

Princess arranges debarkation times to your needs. If you are in a hurry, you can be one of the first about 7:30am. On the other hand if you want to wait as long as possible on the ship, the last passengers will be getting off about 10am or a little later.

Princess wants you out of your cabin by 8 am. Just depends on how much longer you want to wait around. On a travel day we just want to get going. The party is over. :(

Please don't forget that if there is a death on board or a serious medical emergency before the ship docks that those families will be taken off and clear customs before any other passengers can leave the ship.

On one of our recent cruises, there was a medical emergency DURING disembarkation and disembarkation was stopped for over two hours while that person was stabilized and taken off the ship.

Most of the time there are no problems disembarking any time you want, but there is no guarantee.
