Happy Hour

Recommended Posts

If by happy hour you mean discounted drinks, RCI does not offer that. There are drink specials each day perhaps, but they are not necessarily discounted. If you are RCI Crown & Anchor Diamond or higher, or in a grand suite or higher, there is a daily cocktail hour for three hours each evening in their private Diamond and Suite Lounges where cocktails are served for free. But as indicated, admission is restricted to those C & A upper tiers and suite guests. Celebrity offers a similar program for their Captains Club elite and higher, and suite guests.

Princess usually has two happy hours where you buy one, get one (same drink) for another $1. One happy hour is from 3 - 4 pm and the other from 10 - 11 pm. Onboard passengers should check the daily Patter for exact times and locations.

Passengers in full suites or at the elite and platinum loyalty levels are invited to an evening cocktail party with a choice of 5 or 6 different drinks for $5 (if I remember correctly) per drink and free hors d'oeuvres from 5 - 7 pm. The invitation is in your cabin when you board.

Oceania: 5-6 pm daily twofers and again after the evening show. Drinks are free at the Captain's welcome party and at "invitation only" events for O Club members. Top suites get a stocked bar.

Note that "O Life" perks include the option of free wine/beer at mealtimes (upgradeable to the prestige alcohol plan for $20/day).

That stand alone "prestige pkg" is $60/person/day, including 18% tip, for all spirits (except the most expensive cognacs and a couple of single malts), all wines by the glass and all beers. No limit on number or frequency of pours.

HAL has their Happy Hour in 2 lounges from 4 - 5 and one later in the evening -- you have to check the daily program for the time and location. You buy one drink and get the second one for $2 -- must be the same type of drink. And not all brands of alcohol are available.

Also you can not use any of the Beverage Packages during Happy Hour.
