Taking drinks on board P & O to the MEd.

Hi again,

Pando information guide says we can take one bottle each of wine or champagne or spirits or a can of beer on board from Southampton and I see that on-board prices quote £19 for a bottle of wine. I see that some naughty folks suggest sneaking spirits aboard in plastic bottles hidden in the suitcase which don't show up on x-ray but we are not going to do that. A neighbour tells me the rules have changed so we can't take a bottle of spirits on board which is contrary to what the P and O book says.

Anyone know for sure if we can take one bottle of vodka on board, That would be more than enough for a two week sail? They say the bottles must not exceed a litre.

The new rules state that a person can take one litre of wine, champagne, beer, spirits or liqueur on board. That's the measure allowed; some people take a 2 litre wine box for 2 of them. It definitely mentions spirits...
