tweety522 Posted April 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2018 We were on the Regal Princess this past spring and really enjoyed the ship and food, except for one meal. With using different food distributors in Europe how is the food and are the menus the same as in the states?
-Lew- Posted April 20, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2018 We detect virtually no difference between food served in the Caribbean and in Europe. The same food distributor services ships sailing out of US and European ports.
caribill Posted April 20, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 20, 2018 We had one B2B starting with a TA and then a Med. Food quality was much better on the Med segment. Head Chef did not change, so I assume it was the supplied food.
IECalCruiser Posted April 20, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 20, 2018 Menus are basically the same with slight tweaks for location. This could be a different sauce and such. Sent from my iPad using Forums
paul929207 Posted April 20, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2018 We did not notice any difference.

susancruzs Posted April 20, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 20, 2018 I was on the Royal last Fall for a transatlantic, just off the Emerald on a So. Amer. cruise, many of the menus were the same.
moki'smommy Posted April 20, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 20, 2018 On our cruises in Japan, the "every night" selections were the same as on other cruises. The nightly choices typically featured 3 or 4 Japanese items and one or two of the more typical choices.
Rare geoherb Posted April 21, 2018 #9 Share Posted April 21, 2018 Princess has been adding local dishes to the menus for the past few years. On our British isles cruise last year on the Caribbean Princess, they included some northern European ones since the ship also had some Baltic ports on other itineraries last year. The most notable improvement in food was the eggs at breakfast. I guess they were sourcing them locally.
